Das Uncharted 2: Among Thieves einen Nachfolger erhalten wird, war denke ich jedem klar. Jedoch kam jetzt die Bestätigung seitens Nolan North (englischer Synchronsprecher von Nathan Drake), dass die Produktion noch in diesem Jahr anlaufen soll. Über Einzelheiten wurde natürlich noch nichts bekannt.

Über Twitter gab Naughty Dog bekannt, dass man am Ende der Woche mit etwas wirklich “Genialem”  für den Multiplayer von Uncharted 2: Among Thieves rechnen darf. Was das für eine Überraschung ist, wurde noch nicht bekannt gegeben.

Hier noch der komplette Twitterpost:

“Things are looking up that we’re going to have something quite awesome lined up for multiplayer at the end of this week“

Update:

Rechtzeitig zu Thangsgiving wird Naughty Dogs, als Dankeschön an die Fans, ein kostenfreies Update, welches unter anderem eine neue Multiplayermap namens “The Fort” mitbringt, die auf dem Kapitel “Fortress” des Vorgängers basiert, veröffentlichen.

“The new map is called “The Fort” and is a throwback map – it’s based on the “Fortress” chapter of UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune. The Fort is a long rectangular map with wide open spaces and excellent flank routes. Can’t take on the enemy head on? Take the tunnels into the basement to get behind the opposing team. There is a shotgun in the center of the map, but look out for people climbing up from below to pull you to your doom. Pay attention to the side room in the crypt, there is an RPG that is ripe for the taking.”

Des weiteren wird das Multiplayermenü um ein Leaderboard und eine Spielerstatistik bereichert:

“You will be able to check out how you stack up against your friends or where you stand on the Global stats in the following real-time Leaderboards:

• Competitive Wins
• Co-op
• Kills
• Money

As you hop from match to match, the new player card will provide you with a instant snapshot of your vitals: level, competitive wins, kills, money, co-op points and your current booster loadout.”

Damit aber nicht genug – Naughty Dogs lässt auf noch weitere Überraschungen hoffen:

“Oh, and don’t be surprised if that’s not the only delicious thing we’re doing for you this weekend…”

Einleitung

Ach wie groß waren doch die Erwartungen, die in dieses Spiel gesteckt wurden. Der Hype um Uncharted 2 stieg nach der Präsentation auf der E3 fast ins unermessliche. Ich kann eines versprechen: Die Erwartungen wurden meiner Ansicht nach sogar noch übertroffen.

Man weiß auch gar nicht, wo man anfangen soll. Dieses grandiose Erlebnis ist eigentlich gar nicht mit Worten zu beschreiben. Aber dennoch werde ich es einmal versuchen.
